10 Cities with the Most Cellulite

You can pinch more than an inch of dimpled flesh in these regions

Here's what we know about cellulite: you can't "cure" it, women are more likely to have it, and it ain't pretty. What causes cellulite isn't as clear. Hormones and genetics definitely play a role (thanks, mom), but Howard Murad, M.D., and CEO/founder of Murad, Inc., says lifestyle factors that damage the skin or cause poor circulation, think: smoking, excess weight, a diet high in bad fats, alcohol, lack of exercise and overall poor health -- can also contribute. Are you gross?

I'm posting this link here because this week at the gym, a gentleman did the unthinkable. If you're easily grossed out, don't keep reading!

So, as I'm waiting in line to refill my water bottle, he takes a huge lugie and hocks it right into the bubbler. UGH! So, I being the totally in control, control freak that I am kindly asked him to clean it out and told him that I'd wait while he did so. Who in the heck does that? In a public place, where you know other people are going to put their mouth? And don't even get me started on swine flu. Some people have no manners!

I'm posting this link in dedication of my tact-deprived friend. Check yourself!

Project Fun Day - Jason Wu

The designer Jason Wu, 26, has been on the fashionista radar since Michelle Obama chose his subtly sparkly one-shoulder, pale ivory chiffon confection — conjured up on spec and offered free — as her gown for Inauguration night. Mr. Wu, who anticipates $4 million in sales in 2009, works from a studio on West 37th Street and lives across town, on East 48th Street, with his two cats, Peaches and Jinxy.

Sunday, he said, is “a stress-free, revive-the-batteries kind of day,” the time to do “all the things in the city that I never get to do when I’m working.” Read article at nytimes.com.

Revlon announces 400 job losses worldwide

Cosmeticsdesign.com

New York-based Revlon has announced restructuring plans that will result in 400 job losses worldwide.

The cuts come as Revlon struggles to protect its sales and profits in the economic gloom.

Weak sales prospects

“While the mass color cosmetics category in the US, according to ACNielson, continues to grow, the rate of growth has started to slow, and retailers are carefully examining and optimizing inventory levels,” said Revlon CEO Alan Ennis.
